Some people on the Spriters' Resource have ripped images of the enemies in the WonderSwan Color version of the game. They look almost exactly like they do in the original Game Boy version, except in color.
Of course, you may have better luck searching for "Azure Dragon" on Google Image Search, since the fiends in that game were based on the Chinese constellations.

I could swear there was another picture of him- possibly as a cover of something?- looking fearsome and holding an orb. Now I've no clue where it was. Wasn't the japanese cover art for the first SaGa... Maybe it was an insert illustration in the manual or something. Ah well. - HC

There was also a sprite of Sei-Ryu outside of battle, striking a different pose, in the room full of orbs. You may be thinking of that. Sei-Ryu also appears in Shin Megami Tensei, and (arguably) looks stronger there. www.listal.com/viewimage/2617532

Ah- I came up with that image on GIs when I was searching for his SaGa appearance, and I thought it was from Fushigi Yuugi! I didn't realize it was from SMT- is that from the originals, or one of the more recent games?

I honestly don't know; the series tends to recycle its monster designs.
