What other forums do you folks hang out on?
I don't do much on forums these days- it's pretty much just here and a forum run by a friend from college. It does appear like Hardcore Gaming 101 has resolved the moderation issues that convinced me to leave, though, so I may start lurking over there again...

Perhaps you could tell some folks that are RPG fans over there about this here board, too? No competition involved since I make no money off this board...I just want a lively bunch of RPG fans here discussing - specifically - RPG's. And of course we can discuss them there...and well as non-RPG games. I will have to check it out, have you a link or do I need to google this? |

I haven't actually posted there since I left last year and I don't know wha the atmosphere is like these days- I did check a few days ago, though, and it looks like the forum's main 'problem user' eventually got banned.
(condensed story of why I stopped posting there in the first place: there was this one obnoxious, opinionated poster who was inexplicably friends with most of the forum's moderators and therefore basically immune to moderation. She'd developed a habit of going after people whose opinions she felt were unworthy on a very personal level- not just "I don't agree with you" or even "your opinion is dumb", but "I've been cyberstalking you for the last six weeks and I've decide to throw everything you've said that I didn't like in your face all at once." At one point she eventually decided to go after me; at the time, I was in the middle of planning my own wedding and starting a new job, so- take notes- I decided I didn't have the time or mental resources to deal with it, so I rolled my eyes and stopped posting. Apparently she eventually mouthed off to the dude who actually runs the site- who had figured out that she was driving off long-time posters- and ended up banned.)
No idea what things are like now, and I wasn't a member in super-high standing before I left (I'd been kind of vocal about a number of what I considered bad moderation decisions).

Ehh, it was kind of annoying, but "horror story" is probably overstating things...
Maybe it was for the better, because it wasn't really fitting into my life that well at the time anyway.
