This isn't strictly RPG-based, but it came across one of my feeds today and I thought it was interested. Mapstalgia is a tumblr blog dedicated to video game maps, drawn from memory. It's kind of interesting to see how things change in our memories over time.. - HC

I put one together, but it probably won't make the cut due to my illegible handwriting. I didn't do half-bad, I thought, considering that I haven't played the game in like ten years. I did forget the little peninsula things that the future colosseum and opera house are on, and I had them on a different continent than Narshe and Figaro when they're actually on the same one... I also got the shape of the Imperial continent totally wrong, but oh well. - HC

Humm...I wonder if it has to be hand-drawn, maybe because of copyright concerns...or would they take maps that are directly jpgs screen shots of game maps.
Lots of places out there to find RPG Maps...Google is your friend.
Still, an interesting find.
Would be neat if someone had a "Savestate Shrine" for various video game savestates.

I'd be no good at that, then.
I could hand-draw it, looking at a reference....but...from memory...no chance.

It's awful dark, though...
Congrats on being posted though.

Wow, you did a really good job on that map! Only flaw I can see is that the Opera House is on a peninsula south of Jidoor. Also, the river near the Sabre Mountains should have a branch that leads back to the Narshe area. But other than that, excellent work, especially considering you haven't played the game "in a decade or so". (Did you know it was re-released for the Game Boy Advance in 2006-2007, with some extra content?)

Haha, thanks. I compared with the world map after I drew that- I got the shape of the imperial continent pretty much totally wrong, although all the major landmarks are in the right places. The west side is a weird peninsula thing, and the barrier between the east side and the Esper continent is a long river rather than a point and a bridge. - HC
