Advent Children

I'm just kind of curious about this, since I don't think I've actually compared notes with anyone I don't know IRL: did anybody see Advent Children? What did you make of it?

I thought it was very pretty and I had fun watching it, brainless as it was. That being said, apparently the answer to the question "What happens when you take a story that's already complete and throw a huge pile of money at continuing it?" is "Two hours of really pretty swordfights and motorcycle chases."

The best parts were the soundtrack, and the scene after a battle where somebody's cell phone came on and played the FF victory music. It was almost as if the entire movie was a long, elaborate, expensive setup for that one joke.

That was undoubtedly the best scene in the movie.

Even though I enjoyed the movie on the whole, I also felt like I kinda started to develop spectacle fatigue about halfway through...

Well yeah... It was a crappy movie, but I guess it was lulz to watch...
