First time anything like this ever happened around here! As far as I know, nobody I know was hurt or killed. However, they have not released the victims' names yet. Being as I run in political circles up here, there's a reasonable chance someone I know...but maybe am not so close to...ended up a victim. someone from the West End Organizers or something...possible. I'll have to try to find out from Mary Ann about that.

Found out someone I did know was one of the ones killed.
Not like a friend or even a drinking buddy, just I knew him in passing - Dave Fleetwood, the Chestnuthill Township Supervisor. Apparently, he pushed a woman out of the way, and got two shots in the belly for his trouble. One of several heroes that night.
Chestnuthill Township, by the way, is the neighboring Township to Ross, where I live and where this happened.
You know, you read about this sort of shit happening...and it's always Somewhere Else.
It sure changes your perspective when Somewhere Else is your town!
