Flash game Ryth'em Up is a combination shooter/rhythm game; it's not terribly deep, but it's pretty fun. It plays like a horizontal shooter; the main hook is that you power up your weapons by 'collecting' items along with the beat.
There are four different stages with some generic techno-y songs; the fourth one is pretty intense. My biggest issue was that your ship's hitbox is pretty big and the enemy shots are small and difficult to see. I understand this was done as a small project- a hypothetical version 2.0 could be pretty cool.
