A - does the case hold the carts SECURELY?? Sure, it's got a little elastic thing that holds them in place. The whole thing zippers shut, so worst-case scenario, they fall out and end up bouncing around in a sealed compartment. I'm sure similar things are available for the later models, which I think have a bigger footprint than the original DS Lite. This is a similar case (may be the same one, but mine is black) for $10: www.gameexpress.com/product_detail.cfm?UPC=663293100705I have like six hundred things to do today, so I will leave the rest of your post for later. Also: Chrome tells me your board is serving malware, possibly through one of the ads. - HC

Another few quick thoughts, now that I've played a bit more. I like the way that your characters' thoughts are displayed in the menu screen. It gives the characters each a little more personality and depth outside of cutscenes; I only wish you could cycle through them on the menu screen itself. The iOS interface is okay, but not great. As with Final Fantasy Tactics before it, there are several places where it feels like there are two or three taps required where there should only be one. The interface was also clearly designed for a screen with more real estate- there are a lot of places where things feel cramped or menus are forced to scroll. I have to say- I really like the updated cutscenes and voice acting. There's a lot more voice than I expected- honestly, I figured it would be closer to the FFT "new animated cutscenes!", which consists of- like- four clips totaling perhaps five minutes. The updated, more-dynamic cutscenes are much improved over the SNES sprites. The effect from using a Rod is way more powerful here than I recall it being in the SNES version of the game- it's long been a favorite easter egg of mine. If memory serves, in the SNES version, it did a fixed 60-100 damage or so, but in the DS version it's based on your int... For Tellah, it's as high as 200 damage right off the bat (nearly twice as much as Cecil does with his sword attacks initially, and still like half as much again after you find a better sword in the waterway). I have to say, I'm pretty happy with the tweaks made to Edward to make him more useful. I'm a little sad that he's leaving the party forever after a couple more areas. I've only had limited opportunity to play with the Abilities system, but so far I'm not terribly impressed by it. I appreciate the effort to add more customization to a game that otherwise follows a static party, but... I'm not really sure this is what it needed. I find myself thinking that maybe they'd have been better off tweaking the script enough to justify having a bunch of branches where you had a wider selection of characters available. - HC

Holy shit Kainazzo :V
Although assuming that someone accidentally left a zero off the end of his HP in the SNES version of the game does explain a lot.

If my Board is "serving malware" whatever that actually means....then it has to be thru one of the ads, I put nothing on this Board but text.
And I don't control the ads, can't change them, and if I want to get rid of them I have to pay. So, unless someone wants to cough up the cash, the ads are staying. You might contact ProBoards and let them know what is happeneing...but, unfortunately, there is nothing I can do about it.

It went away- I'm assuming that it was coming through one of the ads. Yes, ProBoards needs to deal with that, but I was also assuming that you needed to be an admin to report that.

Well, I think anyone could report it. In either case, if I don't SEE it, I can't report it, because I can't tell them exactly what is happening.

Interesting note: Whyt seems to have been completely removed from this version of the game. The subquest that he normally gives you when you get to the Feymarch/Land of Summoned Monsters is replaced with a more standard "Visit a bunch of places" subquest given by a random NPC.
