I'm not sure I'd really say that, since Paradise Blue bears little resemblance to FF3 beyond the NES-ish look and feel and the Job System. It does, however, very much capture the spirit of those early FF games and feels very much like something that was produced in the parallel universe where Square went on to make Final Fantasy 4 for the Famicom. Picked up the first real chapter of FFD and played a few hours into it- it's a bit better, as they've introduced some actual interesting intra-party dynamics between characters and handed out the first set of jobs. That being said, it still feels like something that was designed to capitalize on nostalgia rather than something that was designed to capture the spirit of the games that it's aping. - HC

Update: the price of this game has gone down to $20, which makes it a much more attractive purchase. May pick it up yet.
